Position Description
St. Luke's Hospital is seeking 1 fellowship-trained pain management
physician, with a BC/BE in Anesthesiology and Pain, to join 2 other physicians
in a newly established pain clinic.

This position is clinic-based only and does not require call.

Opportunity to help develop a pain program within the hospital system.

Position is open for new grads or physician with experience to start in 2020.
We provide pain management services designed to improve the quality of
life and overall function of patients. Dr. Kathryn Thompson treats chronic,
acute and cancer pain through a multimodal, comprehensive approach, including
medication recommendations, interventional therapies, and referrals.
The clinic is consultative, and throughout the process, the primary care
provider and Dr. Thompson work as a team with patients. Our goal is to
include coordination of strategies that provide relief of pain, prevention
of prolonged disability, and enhancement of quality of life. Less invasive
options are considered first, and if deemed ineffective, more invasive
pain management options may be considered. Once an effective management
regimen is established, patients continue to work with their primary care
physician.
