CT Scanning
Capturing detailed pictures of the body
A computed tomography scan, also called a CT scan, is a medical imaging
technology that uses a scanner to take X-rays of the body. A computer
then separates the scanned images, which are called slices. The slices
can be stacked by the computer to create a three-dimensional image of
the body area that was scanned. CT scans are used to study the soft tissues,
organs or bones in your body.
