Support for you and your family
Cancer is a rallying cry for family, friends and community. At St. Luke’s,
we provide individuals and families dealing with cancer with an extensive
network of resources for every step on the journey.
Social Services
St. Luke's Regional Cancer Center's psychosocial services team
plays an integral role in supporting patients and families throughout
the treatment process and beyond. Our social workers meet with each newly
diagnosed patient on the day of their initial consultation to make them
aware of all available support services. Providing you with any additional
information you request, our social workers will be a constant presence
to help connect you with all the resources you need.
Cancer Support Groups
We encourage patients and family members to check out the free cancer support
groups sponsored by St. Luke’s and facilitated by team members of
St. Luke’s Regional Cancer Center. Many former patients continue
to participate in support groups long after treatment, reporting that
they find it tremendously healing and personally satisfying to offer hope
to newly diagnosed cancer patients.
