St. Luke's Honored with LifeSource Gold Award

St. Luke’s has received LifeSource’s Workplace for Life Gold
Award in support of organ, tissue and eye donation. Katelyn McKee, LifeSource
organ and tissue hospital services manager, presented the award to John
Strange, St. Luke’s President/CEO, and Barb Boettcher, RN, St. Luke’s
critical care manager.
“St. Luke’s has been privileged to work with donors’
loved ones throughout the donation process and we are pleased to be recognized
by LifeSource for our dedication to donation,” said John Strange,
St. Luke’s President/CEO. In 2014 and 2015, St. Luke’s helped
save lives or change lives through the generous gift of donation resulting
in 22 organ transplants and 360 tissue transplants.
St. Luke’s is amongst a select group of hospitals nationwide recognized
by the Department of Health and Human Services for conducting activities
that promote enrollment in state organ donor registries by participating
in the Workplace for Life Hospital Campaign. To learn more about donation
