St. Luke’s welcomes Dr. David Ruta to St. Luke’s Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

Dr. Ruta received his medical degree from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, and then completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

While at the University of Michigan, he served as the administrative chief resident in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and was also a member of the Orthopedic Surgery Patient Safety Committee.

Dr. Ruta completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of Tennessee–Campbell Clinic in Memphis.
