Thank You from Jack

St. Luke’s received the following thank you note from Jack:
I was admitted to St. Luke’s recently and from the time my head hit
the pillow, I was surrounded by a staff of nurses and nursing assistants
that went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Each staff
member was professional, kind, caring, compassionate and diligent! As
the hours and days passed, I was constantly amazed at all the “little
things” that were done for me. Most of these things were offered
before I had to ask.
I never felt like I was putting anyone out. Each duty was handed with a
very positive attitude and a smile. My questions were answered and I was
continually informed of what was happening and what was to come. That
is a very comforting feeling. I had nurses that were not even assigned
to me stop by and ask me how I was doing and if I needed anything!
It is obvious to me that the St. Luke’s commitment to “The
Patient Above All Else” is more than just an advertising statement.
St. Luke’s, and the staff in the trenches doing the work, are creating
that very reality. The difference between “doing your job”
and “caring about the job you're doing” was demonstrated
time after time. The commitment to care on my stay was obvious, sincere
and very much appreciated!
Thank you all so much for your loving attention. It gave me great comfort
and warmed my heart!
Sincerely,
Jack
