Free Lecture: Managing the Legal and Financial Issues of Cancer Survivorship

Cancer survivors face numerous legal and financial challenges when battling cancer. To help people further understand them, St. Luke's Regional Cancer Center is hosting its second lecture in the "Understanding Cancer: Survivorship” lecture series. The lecture, "Managing the Legal and Financial Issues of Cancer Survivorship," will be held at 5:30 p.m. September 16 with a light dinner served at 5 p.m. at Marshall School auditorium.

Barbara A. Mitchell, Minnesota attorney and American Cancer Society volunteer, has extensive expertise in dealing with the legal and financial issues associated with cancer. She will be discussing important matters such as powers of attorney, health care directives, the Family and Medical Leave Act, short-term and long-term disability and much more.

Everyone is invited to the lecture, whether you are a cancer survivor, family member or simply interested in learning more. Registration is required by contacting Tina Roberts, social worker at St. Luke's Regional Cancer Center, at 218.249.5468 or Tina.Roberts@slhduluth.com by September 10.
