Amputee Care Program
Caring for an amputation can be a lot of work, even if it has been years
since the operation. In addition to seeing a regular physician, most amputees
need care from a physical therapist and prosthetist. To better serve these
individuals, St. Luke’s has established the
Amputee Care Program to address ongoing needs in one location.
On the first and third Tuesdays of every month, a physician, prosthetist
of the patient's choice and physical therapist will all be available
in one location. This appointment will take place at St. Luke’s
Physical Medicine & Rehab Associates (PM&R) in St. Luke’s
Building A, Level 5.
The Amputee Care Program is available to all amputees, even if it has been
several years since the operation or if the operation was not done at
St. Luke’s.
Our goal is to provide continuous patient-centered care, to offer the best
quality of life possible.
