Bio

Dr. Peterson was first introduced to northeastern Minnesota during college when he spent two summers working at the Environmental Learning Center. Upon his decision to go into medicine, he hoped to eventually practice in this area.

Dr. Peterson loves the Two Harbors area and believes it has been a wonderful place to raise his two daughters. His wife is a music teacher and plays the clarinet in the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra. What he likes most about the area is its outdoor and cultural opportunities.

To date, Dr. Peterson has run 38 marathons, including 23 Grandma’s Marathons. He has also skied the Birkebeiner race three times.

He is currently serving as the Chief of Staff for Lake View Hospital.
