Carol has been with St. Luke’s since 1977, and currently practices
with St. Luke’s Cardiology Associates. She is board certified by
the ANCC as a family nurse practitioner. Carol also holds a postmaster’s
certificate in cardiovascular health and disease management. She is a
fellow and member of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association,
and a member of the American College of Cardiology, the National Lipid
Association, and the Northern Nurse Practitioner Association. Carol also
serves as a board member for the Arrowhead Parish Nurse Association.
Carol believes that health care is a shared responsibility between patients,
families, providers and the community. She aims to provide support, direction,
encouragement, and empowerment to help patients reach their health goals.
Carol encourages all patients to be active participants in their health care.
Carol moved to Duluth to further her education. When she began at St. Luke’s,
she only planned to stay for a year, but has been here ever since. Although
Carol has worked in many departments at St. Luke’s, she likes cardiology
the most. Carol loves how much cardiology patients can do themselves to
improve their health, and she enjoys building long-term relationships
with her patients.
In her free time, Carol likes to cook and bake. Every year, she exhibits
her baked goods at the State Fair. Carol also enjoys watching HGTV and
baseball—the Twins are her favorite team. Carol enjoys spending
time with her husband, three children, and two Havanese dogs.
