Dr. Eric Kirchner joined St. Luke’s Lester River Medical Clinic as
a board-certified family physician in September 2010.
Dr. Kirchner loves being a family physician because it’s never boring.
Taking care of patients ranging from babies to seniors means handling
the entire spectrum of health considerations. No matter their ages, though,
his patients share one thing: a fascination with the catfish in his office
fish tank.
Originally from Owatonna, Dr. Kirchner began his education at St. Thomas,
where he studied biology. He attended Creighton University School of Medicine
in Omaha, Nebraska, then headed north to complete his residency at the
Duluth Family Medicine Residency Program.
He lives in a quiet Duluth neighborhood near Lake Superior with his wife
and their two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his
kids and going golfing.
