Lisa Hebl, PA-C, joined St. Luke’s Lester River Medical Clinic as
a family practice physician assistant in February 2014. Prior to joining
the Lester River team, Hebl worked in family practice with Northland Family
Physicians and in cardiology with St. Luke’s Cardiology Associates.
Hebl loves being able to help patients achieve their health goals. Patients
commonly ask her what they can do preventatively to ensure and improve
their health; she encourages them to focus on small, everyday steps, such
as taking their medication, eating well, or going for walks.
She finds it deeply rewarding to get to know her patients and their families.
Having been a physician assistant for over 15 years, she is now starting
to see some of her patients’ kids.
Hebl began her health education at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities,
where she earned a bachelor of science degree in human physiology. From
there, she moved to St. Cloud State University, earning a master of science
degree in exercise physiology, and then to Durham, North Carolina, where
she received her master of health science degree through the physician
assistant program at Duke University.
Now, living in Two Harbors, she spends her free time being active –swimming,
running, biking, skiing, lifeguarding, doing yoga and some volunteering
in the community – as well as traveling and spending time with her family.
