Welcome to St. Luke's Interventional Pain Management

St. Luke’s Interventional Pain Management Clinic provides pain management services designed to improve the quality of life and overall function of patients. Dr. Kathryn Thompson treats chronic, acute and cancer pain through a multimodal, comprehensive approach, including medication recommendations, interventional therapies, and referrals.

The clinic is consultative, and throughout the process, the primary care provider and Dr. Thompson work as a team with patients. Our goal is to include coordination of strategies that provide relief of pain, prevention of prolonged disability, and enhancement of quality of life. Less invasive options are considered first, and if deemed ineffective, more invasive pain management options may be considered. Once an effective management regimen is established, patients continue to work with their primary care physician.
